SyFy in the Netherlands served both the Dutch region and Belgium (Flanders). It launched in 2007 as a sister channel to the US version of SyFy, showing similar programming. It was operated as part of Universal Networks International.
The channel initially showed Torchwood from January 2008, then in September Doctor Who arrived in the form of The Runaway Bride and Series 3. Airings continued with Torchwood Series 2 and Children of Earth, and Series 4-7 of Doctor Who, but no new episodes aired since The Name of the Doctor in July 2013.
