The 3 Canadians (Warren, Steven, Chris) get together on the weekends for about
an hour or more to discuss the latest in Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Sarah Jane
in a fairly amusing manner. When one is away, the 4th Canadian (Katrina) will
play. They recently completed a series of bonus features on Wednesdays in
varying styles.
Current episodes:
#140 - "The Gay(seous) Agenda". The team discusses The Unquiet Dead, the 3rd
episode of the Christopher Eccleston era. Unquiet Dead is a story style that the
team should love. But it is also responsible for - Christmas episodes, Celebrity
Historicals, Psychic power in New Who, Eve Myles, Cardiff in Doctor Who stories,
the rift that Torchwood would settle on, Rose being linked to the Bad Wolf
arc, and embarrasing critical darling The End Of The World by getting a much
larger audience. How did the team handle the episode with this knowledge?

Coming soon:
#141 - "Canadians Of London". The episode Aliens Of London brought Doctor Who
back to Earth, brought back UNIT, revisited family, experimented with topical
political humor that dates incredibly badly, and had the first real Who
cliffhanger since 1989. Possibly the most controversial episode of the Eccleston
set. How will RFS cope? Personally I'd skip it and run for the hills.

Trevor from Australia and Marty from the UK talk Doctor Who with themselves,
others, and teddy bears dressed as doctors. Now with a rock version of the
opening theme, the Whocast continues to ask the questions that pop in to their
heads. Regular correspondent - James. Frequent guest - Michael of the Tin Dog
podcast.
Current episode:
Whocast episode 118. Part One of two. Trevor and Marty team up with Chip from
the Two Minute Time Lord podcast and Benjamin from This Week In Doctor Who in a
special panel discussion. The worldwide discussion on Doctor Who is hampered by
how it gets delayed in so many countries. People download the episodes to avoid
having to wait for weeks or months. The issues and the thoughts of 4 people are
expressed here. Warning - Chip and Benjamin were very tired when this was
recorded.
Coming today (May 16):
Episode 119. (Might already be up when the column goes out - certainly due
today) In the epic part 2, a collection of Doctor Who podcasters submit their
own thoughts and views on how Doctor Who airs around the world. Tentatively
expected - the Doctor Who: Podshock team, Radio Free Skaro, the Minute Doctor
Who Podcast, and DaveAC representing his wine Vlog and the CIA podcast. I hope I
got them all in. If you want to know if I got it right or not, you'll have to
listen - won't you?

A bite-sized commentary and revew show. Host Chip's interest was rekindled by
the 2005 revival. He believes in balancing old fandom and new viewers, respect
for the past and breaking the rules. He tries to keep his pontifications to 120

MMM noticed that no commentary was done for the recut movie version of The Curse
Of Fenric on its DVD set either. So MMM does their own, along the line of their
recent commentary for Battlefield's DVD Extended Version. I had not heard it at
press time - but hope it is good.

Next episode - Late Sunday Midnight EDT/9PM PDT/Monday 5AM BST - FOX has shocked
us all by renewing Dollhouse in spite of ratings that would give the CW network
second thoughts. Good news, but a shocker. Fringe (with Leonard Nimoy),
Smallville, and Supernatural aired their finales. Primeval had its US premiere
of the 3rd series - nobody tell the hosts what's happening later on in the run,
please. Are the ads for Torchwood big enough for our hosts to have spotted them
this time?
