Assign Country Assign Channel	The BBC has announced that The Christmas Invasion, this year's 60 minute Doctor Who Christmas special that will serve as David Tennant's first episode, will actually premiere on Christmas Day on BBC One, the prestige place for holiday programming on British TV. The broadcast time for the episode has not yet been decided, as the Christmas schedule is set somewhat closer to the day.
Assign Country Assign Channel	It has been assumed all along that the episode would air close to Christmas. The recent announcement that the CBC in Canada would get the episode on Monday 26 December had narrowed most speculation to Christmas Eve (for the regular Saturday timeslot) or Christmas Day (where the BBC's biggest specials air).
