Computers are tricky things. The TWIDW computer has caused me grief and thwarted
the efforts to make a regular edition. So here's an apology to people who like
consistent formatting, all the podcasts, the Sarah Jane Adventures listings, the
K-9 series listings, and the Torchwood This Week column – there was not enough
time to prep the column this time. Today we are going to have one section no
matter where you read the column, covering just the Doctor Who TV broadcasts.
Hopefully we can get back to normal next week.

Now, there are two good things from having to put the column together this way.
1) If this version of the column is not too long, it could mean that I can
combine some stuff and do 3 sections a week, which is easier on me and fewer
e-mails for most people. 2) Last week I mentioned that we were going to change
the series listings to match Steven Moffat's (the guy in charge of the new
episodes) plans. The 1963 to 1989 episodes are 1 to 26, Russell T Davies'
episodes are 27 to 30, and Moffat's will be 31+. Since I had to rewrite it all,
I made the changes now. If you have a reaction (like or dislike) to the visual
format for the listings, give me some feedback for future tweaking.

with Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones) and Series 30.0 (Voyage Of The Damned and

distributed to Public TV stations by BBC Worldwide Americas, not American Public

Now, I am confident that there are more stations with rights to Series 29 and 30
than that. But these are the stations who have contacted me or scheduled the
show. Unlike with the Series 27 and 28 deals, we are in the dark till a station
comes forward or new Who appears in their schedules.

Series 28 is currently available to public TV stations in an American Public TV
package until March 31, 2010. For the Series 27 and 28 packages, stations have
bought the rights to cycle through the episodes 4 times. They are not required
to do so. American Public TV is no longer offering Series 27 - I do not know if
BBC Worldwide Americas will offer those stations to public TV stations now or
not.

2 Public TV stations currently have rights to air the classic Doctor Who run
(1963-1989), but not the 2005 to 2009 era. KBTC 28 Tacoma, WA finishes the Peter
Davison episodes tonight, going to Colin Baker in February. WHRO 15 Norfolk, VA
is airing Tom Baker episodes.
