The Keeper of Traken is dying. As his power fails, the influence of evil is growing on the world he loves. So he sends the Doctor and Adric in to expose and defeat the evil, or die trying. Guest starring Anthony Ainley as Tremas.

The 4th Doctor and Adric decide to measure the TARDIS to improve its performance. But when they are pre-occupied, a shadowy figure watches them with sinister foreboding for the future. Oh, and the Master's around as well.
