Initial figures: 4.600m viewers (overnight), 22.6% audience share, 28th place week
Consolidated figures: 6.072m viewers (+7 days), 26.2% audience share, 16th place - BARB Week (Four Screen), AI 82
Additional figures: 6.694m viewers (+28 days) (12th place)

Overnights: Doctor Who was the fifth most popular show on British Television, and was beaten by its ITV opposition, Dancing on Ice: The Launch, which had 5.14 million viewers.Top for the day was the return of Call the Midwife, with 6.97 million viewers. Countryfile, the lead into Doctor Who, had 5.04 million. Football also did well with Match of the Day seen by 5.14 million during the afternoon.

Consolidated: The ratings were considerably higher than the initial overnight figure and makes the two episodes the 4th and 6th most watched on BBC Television for the week and the 8th and 16th across all television. Top for the week was the New Year Fireworks on BBC One getting 10.84 million watching (2 million down on last year), with Call The Midwife in second place with 8.80m. The Moffat/Gatiss vision of Dracula saw its first part beat Doctor Who into 6th place with 6.99m, but Thursday's made 5.58m (27th) and its final was watched by less than 5.23m (outside the BBC Top 15).

Consolidated+28: The two episodes added a further 510K and 622K viewers, with both parts moving four places up the charts into 4th place 12th place respectively. The Fireworks maintained the top spot with 10.86m, then Call The Midwife with 9.75m. Dracula took the 3rd spot with 7.93m, and after 28 days both other parts were now within the Top 30 with Thursday's 15th with 6.59m and Friday's 20th with 6.26m.
