Cancel next Saturday night’s plans because Space is the only place Doctor Who fans are going to want to be. October 22 marks the premiere of the BBC’s new Doctor Who spinoff series, Class. The first two episodes—one of which features the Doctor himself—will run back to back beginning at 9e 6p.

Created by writer Patrick Ness, Class centres on Coal Hill School (former employer of Clara Oswald and Danny Pink), as the site of a string of supernatural and otherworldly occurrences that the student body must contend with—on top of homework. Here’s the latest trailer, plus official word on the first two episodes:

“For Tonight We Might Die”

“It’s a new term at Coal Hill Academy, and students are preparing for their Autumn Formal. But when the school comes under attack from the monstrous Shadow Kin, four alienated students must form an unlikely alliance to defeat them. Assisted by their physics teacher Miss Quill, the students are now charged with a great responsibility by the mysterious alien known as The Doctor: to guard against the creatures of nightmare, who want nothing more than to find a way through to Earth and take it for their own. And this incursion is only the beginning.”

“The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo”

“Following the tragic events at the Autumn Formal, a devastated Ram isolates himself from the other three as he struggles with his new reality. Desperate to hold himself together on the football pitch, when he thinks he witnesses someone getting skinned alive, he’s convinced he’s losing touch with reality. But when Tanya, Charlie, and April are all confronted with the same thing: a horrific, monstrous, skin-peeling dragon, they know that they’re under attack. The gang must pull together to fight against the monster, and try to keep Coal Hill safe.”

The Class premiere isn’t the only Who-themed thing going down this weekend. Ahead of the debut, InnerSpace will air their special InnerSpace Presents: Doctor Who. Stars Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie, showrunner Steven Moffat, and producer Brian Minchin field questions from the hosts and fans during a chat about the upcoming Christmas Special and Mackie’s role as the new companion.
